The Mothership will have several income streams to keep funding it, and as the club grows so will the income streams that go towards it. This will result in a snowball effect that will make it possible to invest in even more projects that will result in even more profits for the club.
Firstly, we will add 5% of all SOL raised from minting the Modern Pirates Club NFTs. That will be around 80k-140k from the first collection depending on SOL prices.
Secondly, we will add 10% of all the SOL raised from minting the Modern Pirate Gals. This will result in around 160k-280k depending on SOL prices.
The Modern Pirate Gals collection will contribute with double the % of the original Modern Pirates Club NFTs as they are joining the club afterwards and sharing The Mothership.
This can easily result in over 300k inside The Mothership to reinvest into projects if we sell out both collections. This is only the first income stream. Next we have:
We will fund The Mothership with 1% of the resale value (our royalties) from Modern Pirates Club and with 2% of the royalties from Modern Pirate Gals forever!
Eg 1: if the total resale value of all the collection of Modern Pirates Club in 1 year is 5 Million then 50k will go into The Mothership.
Eg 2: If the total resale value of all the collection of Modern Pirate Gals in 1 year is 10 Million then 200k will go into The Mothership.
As the group grows and becomes more valuable, the amount that enters through royalties will grow.
Resale value is the amount that an NFT is sold on the secondary markets (after minting). Royalties is a percentage paid to the creators from the resale value. Eg: if you list your NFT for sale at 10 SOL, when it is sold you keep the listing price minus the Royalties. In this case, Royalties for the club are at 1%. So if the resale value is 10 then 9.9 SOL would go to you for selling your NFT and 0.1 SOL will go to the mothership. Royalties explained with drawings here.
We will create an e-commerce t-shirt surf brand: The Modern Pirates Club t-shirts. This is not a merch store, but an actual t-shirt store targeted at surfers and skaters. Read more about the store here.
20% of the profits of the store will go towards The Mothership each quarter.
With the help of the club members posting on their social media and sharing the brand with their friends, it will be very easy to make this store scale and bring recurring profits to The Mothership.
The biggest and the coolest part of the group, we will start the Modern Pirates Club Hostel Chain!
10% of the profits of all the hostels will go towards The Mothership each quarter.
The hostels won't be built using the mothership funds! The mothership's funds are exclusively for the club!
We will start with two hostels: One for each collection: 1) Modern Pirates Club 2) Modern Pirate Gals. We want to open 3 hostels in 5 years and 10 in 10 years. Read more the hostel chain here.
Whatever we decide to invest funds in, will inevitably have returns. Which we will then add to The Mothership. The easiest returns is by staking the funds in USDT for an 8%APY. But many more interesting things can be done with 500k from the club. Investing in alt coins, liquidity pools, more NFT projects and so on. The decisions will be taken by the club from the DAO. 100% of profits that result from invested funds will be added to The Mothership.
There will be more real life projects that we can undertake as a club. The force comes from the masses. When we sell the Modern Pirate Gals, we will add the possibility of doing community projects. These projects will have returns that will keep funding The Mothership. Community projects will be rare as these will subject to an extraordinary vote on the DAO.
